Goodspeed Flying Service is looking to hire a part-time tailwheel instructor for the 2025 season, based in East Haddam, CT.

The ideal candidate will have exceptionally strong tailwheel flying skills and robust instructional experience to match the high-quality instructional product that our students have come to expect.

Requirements:

– FAA Commercial Pilot certificate with ASEL, Instrument ratings

– FAA Flight Instructor certificate with ASE rating

– FAA First Class Medical certificate

– Tailwheel endorsement

– Driver's license

– Commutable lodging in the Northeast U.S.

– Broad availability from May 1st to September 1st, 2025

Compensation:

Hourly pay depending on experience, from $25–$75/hour.

This position is an Independent Contractor post with IRS 1099 filing to Goodspeed Air Service, LLC, under the laws of the State of Connecticut.
